We’ve improved the Identity Verification (IDV) flow by merging the country and document type selection steps into a single screen. This update streamlines the beginning of the verification process and reduces unnecessary friction for end-users.
What’s changed?
Single-step country and document selection
Previously, users selected their country first and then proceeded to choose a document type on a separate screen. These steps are now combined into one unified interface, allowing users to complete both actions in a single interaction.
Automatic country pre-selection
To further simplify the experience, the user’s country is now automatically pre-selected based on IP detection. In most cases, users can immediately choose their document type and proceed without needing to manually adjust their country selection.
Faster path to document capture
By removing an extra step and reducing decision fatigue, the updated flow shortens the time required to start document capture. This creates a smoother onboarding experience and improves overall usability at the very beginning of verification.
