We’ve enhanced the Identity Verification (IDV) process to fully support cases where end-users accidentally upload the back side of a document as the front, and vice versa. Previously, such scenarios could result in an automatic denial, even if the document itself was valid and verification could have succeeded after review.
What’s improved?
Intelligent handling of swapped uploads
The system now detects and correctly processes cases where document sides are submitted in reverse order.
Accurate face matching logic
Face comparison is automatically applied to the correct document side, ensuring biometric verification remains consistent and reliable.
Proper document checks
All relevant document-level validations – including face blacklist checks and related controls – are now correctly applied even when the sides are uploaded in the wrong order.
Why this matters
-
Reduces unnecessary denials caused by simple user mistakes
-
Improves verification accuracy and fairness
-
Creates a more resilient and user-friendly IDV experience
